01

The challenge

Storesla had a traffic problem that was actually a conversion problem. Thousands of visitors were browsing products (kitchen storage jars, garment racks, drawer organizers) but leaving without adding anything to their cart. Traditional abandoned cart emails would not work because there was no cart to recover. The brand needed a browse recovery email that could re-engage window shoppers and give them a reason to come back and buy.

02

What we built

We took a deliberate, page-by-page approach, every section had to earn its place. Here's what that looked like in practice:

  • 01Built a browse recovery email triggered when a logged-in subscriber views 2+ products without adding to cart, sent 6 hours after the last browse session.
  • 02Featured the exact products the subscriber browsed (kitchen storage jars, garment racks, drawer organizers) with clean product photography and clear pricing.
  • 03Used a minimalist design with a neutral color palette (dark gray headers, white backgrounds, subtle tan borders) that matches the brand's organized, clutter-free positioning.
  • 04Wrote copy that frames the email as a helpful reminder rather than a sales push, with a Continue Shopping button that takes the subscriber directly back to the product pages they were viewing.
  • 05Included social proof in the form of star ratings and review counts on each product to address the doubt that often prevents first-time purchases.
  • 06Integrated with the brand's ESP and website tracking to dynamically populate the browsed products, so every email is personalized to the recipient's actual browsing behavior.
03

The outcome

We launched in 2024 and have been tracking real numbers since. Here's what the funnel is doing 4 months in:

8.7%
Browse recovery rate
$18,200
Revenue from browse emails
38.4%
Open rate
9.2%
Click-through rate

We did not even know browse recovery was a thing until Broadwave Digitals suggested it. It turns out a huge chunk of our visitors were interested but just needed a nudge. The personalized product recommendations made the emails feel helpful, not spammy.
